Introduction

The objective of the course is to offer training to equip you with the skills required to work successfully in the accounting environment combined with IT in modern business.   In the current accounting environment it is not enough to know the accounting principles thoroughly - the ability to work in a computerized system is a skill that has to be mastered and one that will place you in a very strong position when seeking employment.

This course is introduced with the interest of both the students and prospective employers in mind.  For you the programme will provide a sound knowledge of cost & management accounting and financial accounting backed with the necessary practical training in IT.  This course will give you a thorough step by step training on how to record accounting information and produce a set of accounts in a computerized accounting environment whilst introducing you to sound financial and cost accounting principles.   You will also be exposed to working with other software packages frequently used in business.  You will be confident that you have the theoretical knowledge as well as the practical skills to carry out duties entrusted to you.

From the view-point of the employer the CMA - CA & IT programme provides a sound basis of assessing the academic and practical skills in accounting and IT of those qualifying.
