Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala FCA, FCMA, FCMA(UK)

Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala who is the president of the Society is also its founder president in 1999.

Presently he is a Committee Member of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Convention Committee - Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Director of Richard Peiris & Co. Ltd., Deputy Chairman of Gestetner (Ceylon) Ltd., Director of Asian Alliance Insurance Co. Ltd., Director of - Transnational Lanka Records Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. and Council Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

He had been the Chairman and Managing Director of State Mining and Mineral Development Corporation, Chairman of People's Bank & Peoples Merchant Bank, Chairman of Pan Asia Bank Ltd., Financial, Foreign Investment and Educational Consultant, Director of South West Asia Informatics Holdings Ltd. Singapore, Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of Singapore Informatics - Computer Institute (Pvt) Ltd., Sri Lanka and Chairman and Director General of Board of Investment of Sri Lanka.

Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala was Past President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and South Asian Federation of Accountants and The Organization of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka, the apex body of Professional Organizations. He was the Founder President of Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka.
