CMA Sri Lanka sign Member Pathway Agreement (MPA) with CPA Australia.

CMA Sri Lanka sign Member Pathway Agreement (MPA)with CPA Australia.

The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA Sri Lanka) the national professional management accounting body in Sri Lankaincorporated by an Act of Parliament expanded a pathway to all the CMA members to obtain the CPA Australia Qualification by renewing the Member Pathway Agreement (MPA)on 9th April 2024, at the CMA Head Office, Colombo. With the signing of the New Member Pathway agreement, members of CMA Sri Lanka who completed the 2023 new syllabus could obtain the membership of CPA Australia by completing two core modules and one elective subject, which could be taken from Sri Lanka.

CPA Australia is a globally recognised accounting body and has a membership of more than 172, 000 members in over 100 countries and regions, supported by 20 offices globally.

TheMembership Pathway Agreement (MPA) was signed by the CMA Sri Lanka Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and by the Chief Member Experience Officer CPA Australia Ms.RowenaBuddee and witnessed by MrHennayake Bandara Vice President CMA Sri Lanka and MrDinukHettiarachchi CPA- Australia representative in Sri Lanka.

The exchange of the Member Pathway Agreement by the Chief Member Experience Officer CPA Australia Ms.RowenaBuddeeand CMA Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, in the presence of Vice President CMA Mr. Hennayake Bandara joined by CPA Australia representatives Mr. Nicklaus Wee, Regional Head of Emerging Markets, Mr. Don Poh, Business Development Manager, Emerging Markets,Mr. Dinuk Hettiarachchi, CPA Representative in Sri Lanka together with CMA Council Members Mr Sanjaya Bandara, Mr. Ruchira Perera,Mr. P. Gajendran, Mr. Asanga Wimalarathne, Mrs. Surekha Ketawala, Actg. CEO Mr. Kosala Dissanayake, Director Examinations Ms. MadumiPerera andConsultant Prof. Mangala Fonseka.
